As of last Thursday Daniel is 5 months old now! He has grown so much in the last 5 months. I am so amazed by how fast he's growing, and by all of his accomplishments. He has already started outgrowing his 3-6 month clothes but some of the 6-9 month clothes are too big. haha! he goes to the dr again for his 6 mo checkup on December 17th so I will know his weight and height percentages then. However yesterday at Scott and Stephanie's we pulled out a tape measure to measure the babies and Daniel was 23 inches long and he weighs 13 lbs. I want to say Peyton was about the same length! lol Daniel is still rolling from tummy to back, and back to tummy. He prefers to be on his tummy about 99% of the time that he's laying down. He is getting to be so mobile now, he likes to move himself with his arms and turn. He can only go in circles right now but he uses his feet to push himself forward a little bit. I'm pretty sure this little boy will be crawling within a month or two. I can't wait to see him go! I will need to baby proof the house just a little bit more now. He is the most active baby I have ever seen. It is sometimes so hard to just hold him because he is squirming to get down or just kicking his feet at you. As most of you know he loves to chew on his fingers. I'm not sure if he is teething yet, but this boy drools all the time. This morning he had only been awake for about 30 minutes and his clothes were already soaked from his drool. He's found his thumb so when he is really tired he'll just lay his head down and suck his thumb. The last few nights he has slept all through the night. YAY! He usually gets to bed between 9-10 at the latest and will sleep until 5-6am. Still early but hey I'll take it! And of course his smiles are the best! He will usually fuss in his crib for someone to get him but the second you walk up to his bed he's smiling at you with the biggest grin! It's the best thing to see first thing each morning. Once you pick him up he lets out a tiny squeal of excitement and almost tries to jump out of your arms. I wish I could get this thing upload a picture for me but I'm having some technical difficulties. grrrr
Daniel and I stayed home last Thursday and Friday since I wasn't feeling very well but we got a lot of bonding in. LOVE IT! He and I went Christmas shopping with Aunt Big (Megan) and Presley this weekend. Got a lot accomplished too, but there's always more to buy. :) I can't wait to get our Christmas tree up. Daniel loves to look at lights so I'm sure he'll really enjoy it. I am so excited about all of the upcoming holidays! This is the first time in a long time that Tony will be off for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. :) I think this weekend we will take Daniel to get Santa pictures done before the lines get too long.
Now for a quick HCG update... I am DONE starving myself! haha I have decided that I will stick to a low cal diet, but 500 calories is too hard for me to go on. I have had zero energy while I've been on this diet. All I could think about was food. I didn't feel like I was functioning properly. I love that I dropped 8 lbs so fast, but even with me just monitoring my portions and eating out less I was still losing up to a pound a day. So bye bye HCG and hello gym membership. Tony says he's going to start next week on this diet. All I have to say is GOOD LUCK TONY!! And kuddos to anyone that has or can stick to that diet plan.

Over the weekend
I had a great weekend! Friday night I went home from work after getting a much needed haircut. I relaxed, played with Daniel, and caught up on some t.v. Saturday I got all of the laundry done and cleaned the house- not the best part of my day, but I was productive. Went to Wal-mart and bought Daniel his bumbo seat that I have been wanting for the longest time.
Sunday I went into work for a couple of hours. And I was so tired since Daniel woke up from 2:30-5am the night before that as soon as Daniel went down for a nap I was right behind him. Best 2.5 hour nap ever! haha! That night Tony and I went out for dinner to celebrate our two year anniversary. We went to Ruths Chris Steakhouse in Ft. Worth. It was soooo good! Can't wait to go back! :)
This weekend was also the start of my HCG diet. Saturday and Sunday were my two loading days. I ate all that I could since I will be missing out for the next 23 days. Which is probably why I really enjoyed my last meal last night. With that said, I am STARVING today!! hahaha! Thankfully Aimee (a friend/co-worker) is on the same diet so needless to say, we will be sharing our hunger thoughts with each other. Just kidding! But we will be bringing in our lunches a lot. Another upside to this is that I'll be saving money on eating out for lunch so much! yay! So wish me luck on this new venture. :) Now time for me to go eat an apple.

Sleep!!
Last night I put Daniel to bed at 9 and he woke up at 1am, immediately I thought to myself 'this is going to be a long night.' Fortunately Tony was just pulling up from work so he was able to take over and get Daniel back to bed. I felt guilty for just passing him off so I got back out of bed to get Daniel but Tony was already rocking him back to sleep. Daniel slept the rest of the night and didn't wake up until 5AM!! YAY!!!
I am looking forward to this weekend. Thinking about getting a haircut, and a pedicure, and doing some Christmas shopping!!

Sleepless Nights
Finally starting a blog. This should be fun! :)
The last few nights Tony and I have had to stay up with a very fussy little boy. We took him to the doctor on Tuesday and she said he's picked up a stomach virus and he will probably be sick for the next 10-14 days, and that Daniel would probably feel worse before he feels better. After last night I am hoping that this IS the worse. Tony and I have had 4-5 hours of sleep each night since saturday. UGH! I love my baby boy to death but after nights like last night I wonder if we will ever have any more babies haha! I feel so guilty that I can't stay home with him. Lucky for me though Tony has the mornings off and then Daniel goes to my moms until I can get off. Unfortunately I only get a few hours with him until he goes to bed. Wish I could bring him to work with me but then I would never get anything done!
Speaking of work, I feel like my work days get shorter and shorter. I have things piling up so high on my desk I feel like I'm never going to dig my way out. I need to just dedicate one day to cleaning my office and putting things away. Since I took over this property I don't feel like I have really settled into the position yet, it's all go go go! Without much time to really sink my teeth into this brand. For those of you that don't know, I am the general manager at a Holiday Inn Express. I worked at a Hampton Inn & Suites for the last four years. Two different hotels that operate on two different brand standards. It's been a rough start but it is definately improving. Being the General Manager definately has it's ups and downs. I feel like I've been dealing with a lot of the downs for a while now. I am just hoping to have another strong month this month. *fingers crossed*
Well it's almost time to go pick up Daniel and go home for some sleep?
